{"id":89657,"date":"2026-09-25T18:00:42","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T16:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trec.it\/?p=89657"},"modified":"2026-09-25T18:02:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T16:02:27","slug":"tre-c-new-voc-testing-for-painted-metal-ceiling-panels-and-planks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trec.it\/en\/2026\/09\/25\/tre-c-new-voc-testing-for-painted-metal-ceiling-panels-and-planks\/","title":{"rendered":"TRE C: new VOC testing for painted metal ceiling panels and planks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Very low emission levels for TRE C metal ceilings, supporting indoor air quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TRE C has completed a new series of tests on the emissions of <strong>Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)<\/strong> from its painted metal ceiling panels and planks.<\/p>\n<p>The tests, carried out in accordance with <strong>UNI EN ISO 16000-9, UNI ISO 16000-6 and UNI ISO 16000-3<\/strong>, showed particularly low emission levels.<\/p>\n<p>After 28 days of testing, the following values were recorded:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TVOC: 15 \u00b5g\/m\u00b3<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Formaldehyde: &lt;3 \u00b5g\/m\u00b3<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Benzene: &lt;1 \u00b5g\/m\u00b3<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Values below the quantification limits were also recorded for additional monitored substances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These results confirm TRE C\u2019s commitment not only to the mechanical, aesthetic and functional performance of its metal ceilings, but also to aspects related to <strong>indoor air quality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>A real advantage in environments with high hygiene and healthcare requirements<\/h2>\n<p>Controlling VOC emissions is particularly important in buildings where air quality, hygiene and environmental comfort are key design requirements.<\/p>\n<p>TRE C systems are therefore particularly suitable for applications such as:<\/p>\n<p><strong>hospitals and healthcare facilities, outpatient clinics, laboratories, nursing homes, schools, public buildings, offices and environments with prolonged human occupancy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The metal construction of the panels also provides durable, easy-to-clean surfaces, compatible with solutions designed for environments requiring high standards of maintenance and hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>For specific applications, panels can also be supplied <strong>with an antibacterial surface treatment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In CLIP-IN systems, a <strong>neoprene gasket installed between adjacent panels<\/strong> can also be provided on request, designed to minimise air exchange and the passage of airborne particles between the ceiling void and the room below.<\/p>\n<h2>Indoor air quality and sustainable design<\/h2>\n<p>VOC emission testing forms part of TRE C\u2019s ongoing development of ceiling systems increasingly suited to the requirements of contemporary building design, with particular attention to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>indoor air quality, material sustainability, recyclability, CAM requirements and performance requirements for buildings with high environmental standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The results of these new tests therefore provide designers, general contractors and clients with additional technical documentation when selecting metal ceiling systems for particularly sensitive environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TRE C.
