MED Module D certificate
Module D covers production-quality assurance and completes the MED conformity route by linking production to the type approved under Module B.

On 29 September 2023, TRE C obtained EC Quality System Certificate (Module D) MED/0497/1530, issued by CSI S.p.A., Notified Body no. 0497.
From type certification to production
Following approval of MARINE CEILING SYSTEM under Module B MED/0497/1447, Module D covers the manufacturing stage. The quality system applied to production is assessed and placed under surveillance by the notified body.
What Module D means
Module D is production-quality assurance: TRE C must ensure that series production remains in conformity with the approved type and the applicable Marine Equipment Directive requirements. Conformity therefore extends beyond the sample used for type testing to the manufacturing process itself.
Wheelmark and production continuity
Certificate MED/0497/1530, used together with the corresponding Module B certificate, forms the conformity route that allows the Wheelmark to be affixed under the conditions laid down by MED requirements.
With Module D, TRE C extends MED conformity from the MARINE CEILING SYSTEM product type to the quality system used for series production.
